Pizzazz is a non-profit organization that was birthed out of the need to educate, and provide training to low or moderate-income individuals. Headquartered in Washington D.C., its heartfelt purpose, is to assist youth in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, positive outlook on life and become educationally sound.  

Our Mission

About Judy Smith

Judy A.Smithis Pizzazz’s Chief ExecutiveOfficer and founder.Ms. Smith envisions youth
being freed from risk factors and motivate them toachieve their highest goals. A graduate of American
University (Business Management/Psychology),she has a proven record in community affairs. Her past
accomplishments can be seen in the development ofcommunity activities for District of Columbia and
Maryland residents; the coordination and facilitationof speakers for various Washington, DC. area groups;the development and organization of activities for D.C. Public Schools, as well as volunteer work with Big Sisters of Washington, D.C; tutoring children in area schools; coordination and implementation of creative programs within several organizations while consulting on a number of projects. In the arts, Ms.Smith, a playwright, has produced and managed a number of theater productions.

Pizzazz educates and trains low-income individuals using traditional and non-traditional approaches to improve the quality of their lives.

​​​Our main vision is to educate the surrounding Washington D.C. wards about the issues of emotional eating and obesity. Our vision also includes providing youth, families and individuals with the tools to maintain a healthy lifestyle, through proper nutrition, exercise and health education.
